Termed the "Superoutbreak." Grazulis's reanalysis of Fujita's count establishes 95 significant tornadoes in this outbreak, 30 of which were F4 or F5 and 48 of the total caused loss of life. Length of record refers to Grazulis's records indicating first documented tornado outbreak in Hartford Connecticut in 1787
